If you love bright colors you can knock yourself out. Colors are well represented on the catwalk this year. You can say a lot but this year’s spring/summer fashion is far from boring!
For the ones that want to keep it more neutral, no worries, because also black and white are all over the runway this year! I’ve selected 5 quick fashion trends for you. I have used catwalk proof items from H&M as an example for those who have a lower budget! I mean common, just because we’re not millionaires doesn’t mean we can’t be a fashionista right?!
Tip #1 Dress blue
Blue is a real eye catcher this year. With this lovely fresh color you can’t go wrong! Colors vary from cobalt to aquamarine.

Tip #2 Go bold
Bold prints are all over the catwalk this year ranging from Japanese prints to colorful leopard prints.

Hottest hair trend 2013 ‘The Ombre effect’
One of the hottest hair trends for this spring/summer is the Ombre hair effect. Litterally ‘ombre’ means shadow. It is a coloring effect in which the bottom portion of your hair looks lighter than the top portion. This creates a shadow and if it’s done well it gives you this amazing fresh summer look.
There are different ways to ombre your hair. Some ombre looks mimic the effect of dark roots showing through a light hair dye, while others take a more purposeful approach by simply dyeing the tips of the hair in a lighter shade.
You can make the contrast as strong as you want. To avoid the panther effect I personally prefer a more subtle look. I looked up some examples of celebs that did the ombre look. Some are subtle, others wear ombre looks that are too strong in my opinion. Have a look and see for yourself which look you like.

If you want a more bold look you could color the ends of your hair pink like Jessy J
This is the panther effect I was talking about. Personally I think this look is too strong although I do think it suits Jessy J perfectly
If you want to get the ombre effect done properly I advise you let a hair specialist do the job. But of course the cheapest solution would be to do it yourself. Rapper Chris Kelly dies of drug overdose at age of 34
Chris Kelly died at 34
Another celebrity has died of drug overdose. What a sad story. Rapper Chris Kelly, best known for his 1992 hit ‘Jump’ has died today aged 34. Together with Chris Smith he formed a rap duo named Kriss Kross in the 1990s. Police said it appears that he died because of a drug overdose.

Queen Maxima’s mind blowing blue dress
Yesterday the Dutch celebrated the inauguration of their new King Willem-Alexander and his wife Queen Maxima (Please note her title is unofficial and is not laid down in a law). As mentioned before one of my questions were what she would be wearing that day. In the morning when former Queen Beatrix handed the thrown over to her son, Maxima wore a dress of the Belgian brand Natan, designed by the owner Edouard Vermeulen.

During the oath in the church, Maxima made her entrance with a completely different dress. Not just a dress, no it was mind blowing and maybe the best dress she ever wore in her entire life. The royal blue dress is designed by Dutch designer Jan Taminiau (http://www.jantaminiau.com/) Check out this picture and judge for yourself.
In the evening Queen Maxima wore another gorgeous ruby colored design also by Jan Taminiau.

The Netherlands is getting a new king tomorrow!

In case you didn’t know, the Dutch are getting a new king tomorrow 30th of April! A very special event as the Dutch didn’t have a king since 1890! King Willem Alexander will be inaugurated as his mum Queen Beatrix steps down after 33 years of ruling the Dutchies. The country is decorated with orange, the country’s national color, and of course red, white and blue, the colors of the Dutch flag. Alexander’s wife, of Argentinian descent, will be queen. As she is known for her impeccable taste in clothing, one of my biggest questions would be what this blonde beauty will be wearing tomorrow. Also I am very curious what the 75 year old Queen B. will be wearing. Well, I guess we’ll know tomorrow! Updates will follow!

Celebs that choose to age gracefully
For many Hollywood stars, plastic surgery is a necessity of life. The pressure to have plastic surgery when the first wrinkles start to appear, is tremendously high. I researched if there are any female celebs that choose to age gracefully and not fall for Hollywood’s plastic surgery mania. The answer is: YES although it wasn’t easy to find them, there is a small group of women out there and honestly in my opinion they look much better than those emotionless botox faces.
